Restoration Advisory Board - Membership Application


The Anniston Army Depot Restoration Advisory Board (ANAD RAB) is a forum established to provide advice to the United States government on issues relative to installation restoration projects at ANAD. The RAB facilitates communication between the government and the community on the issues relative to this subject.

The RAB is a volunteer organization comprised of interested citizens and representatives of the Anniston Army Depot as well as various environmental regulatory agencies, local govermental activities, community environmental groups and concerned citizens. The RAB normally meets quarterly on the second Mondays of March, June, September and December. Meetings are cancelled in advance if there is no new information to discuss, The meetings are held at various locations in the community,beginning at 6:00 p.m. The meetings usually last approximately an hour, depending on the agenda items, with a maximum length of one and one half-hours. Members are expected to attend these meetings or send a designated replacement.

Membership on the RAB is voluntary and members are not compensated for their time or services. If you would like to serve on this board, please fill out the following application. This application is for regular membership on the RAB. While you are not required to answer all of the questions, we encourage you to do so as it assists us in the selection process. Please provide all of the information you feel is relevant to your application. The information related to minority status is requested only to promote a diverse membership. The RAB does not exclude any person from membership based on race, gender, religion, or national origin.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attend Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) meetings.

• Represent and communicate community interests and concerns to the RAB.

• Act as a conduit for the exchange of information between the community, ANAD and environmental regulators regarding the Anniston Army Depot’s restoration program.

• Review and provide comments and advice to the technical advisors on technical documents, plans, and programs associated with the environmental restoration and clean-up activities at Anniston Army Depot

• Serve in a volunteer capacity

PRIVACY ACT:
Authority: 10 USC § 2705 (c) and 42 USC § 9620 (f), State and local participation in the cleanup of federal facilities.

Principal Purpose: To identify members of the local community who are interested in Restoration Advisory Board participation.

Routine Uses: The requested information will be used to develop a list of interested persons from which members of the RAB will be selected.

Disclosure of the information requested is voluntary. Failure to provide all of the requested information may prevent selection.
