P2 - Hazardous Waste Reduction Hazardous waste reduction and management is an important aspect of P2. ANAD’s P2 program focuses on efficiently managing hazardous waste in order to minimize life-cycle costs and future liabilities, protect environmental resources, and enhance operational flexibility. Quarterly, new ways to reduce hazardous waste are evaluated by our Pollution Prevention Steering Committee (P2SC) whose goal is to keep ANAD as environmental innovative as possible. Processes that generate or involve hazardous waste are constantly being assessed for alternative means that would be more environmentally friendly. ANAD has come a long way in the past few years and will continue to strive for overall waste reduction in all of our processes.
