The Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) Contracting Staff procures an estimated $200 MIL worth of supplies, equipment, and services, for Anniston Army Depot and its tenant agencies. The associates also prepare contracts for sale of services to private industry under partnering arrangements. See Partnering. Production Contracts Mission
This division provides contracting, purchasing, business advisory services, and administration in support of the Depot’s production mission/operations. Purchases include various different type of production equipment, machinery, tooling, parts, and services. Procurement of supplies and services is accomplished through mandatory supply sources, from open market by competitive or sole source negotiations or sealed bids, from oral or written quotes, or any combination of these methods. This division is comprised of three different teams. The Purchasing Team provides production procurement support for all procurements less than $100K. The Equipment Team purchases all the production equipement and supplies estimated over $100K. The Service Team procures all the production services estimated over $100K.
Base Operations Contracts and Support Division
This division provides contracting, purchasing and business advisory services required for base operations and Tenant mission support.
Purchases include equipment, machinery, tools, parts, services, and construction. Procurement of supplies and services is accomplished through mandatory supply sources, from open market by competitive or sole source negotiations or sealed bids, from oral or written quotes, or any combination of these methods. This division has a Support Team that provides various administrative functions to assure all procurement functions are in accordance with public laws and regulations. This team reviews contracts, provides policy guidance, manages FOIA information requests, monitors the purchase card program, formulates and executes the Advance Acquisition Plan, and manages the Small Business Program.
