Hunting on Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) wil be conducted in accordance with ANAD regulations and State & Federal Laws. The ANAD Deer Harvest is an annual deer population control program conducted jointly between FMWR, Risk Management, and Emergency Services. The harvest program consists of managed bow hunting conducted on specified days during the State deer season (typically on Saturdays, Sundays, off Fridays, and some holidays). Only badged Depot employees and military stationed on the Depot are eligible to participate. Those mentioned above who do not have access to the ALA must apply for temporary access to be able to hunt in those areas. An announcement will be made yearly prior to the start of the season. Participants must complete a shooting proficiency test, attend yearly hunter's safety orientation, meet all applicable State hunting requirements, and purchase an ANAD hunting pass from FMWR. Season Pass: $150 Daily Pass: $20 Hunting is only conducted in specified areas in the CA and ALA. See ANADR 200-3 for specifics on hunting distances from paved roads, boundary fences, buildings, etc. Hunters will report to the Physical Fitness Center on the morning of the hunts. A drawing will be held to allow hunters to pick their areas. Hunters can check in and out throughout the specified hunting hours. Hunters and their equipment must be transported into the ALA by government vehicles. |
